Connecting to Remote Desktop (ResWare and Great Plains)
Double click on the desktop icon for the Remote Desktop shortcut you downloaded in the previous step. The login box that pops up will require the same credentials that you use when logging in from your work computer. Enter your domain username and password, for example williston\janesmith, and then enter your password. After entering your username and password you will be prompted by DUO on your Smartphone to allow the connection by tapping the “Approve” button. You will then be presented with the same desktop you use every day in the office.
Receiving voicemail messages and making calls
Your company landline number will not be redirected. If your manager has authorized it, your voicemail may be forwarded as an audio attachment to your company email address. To dial in to retrieve your voicemail, call 949-430-3738. Follow the prompts to enter your extension and voicemail password and press #. Once logged in, follow the prompts and press 1 to listen to your voicemail messages.
You will make outbound calls from your personal cell or landline number. If you would like to mask your caller ID, most mobile phone carriers allow you to do so on a call-by-call basis by entering *67 before dialing the number you wish to call.
If you would like to establish a number for inbound calls that is not your personal cell number, you can use Google Voice or Skype. The IT helpdesk will be unable to support this software.
Clocking in and out
Open a web browser and enter https://login.paylocity.com/Escher/Escher_WebUI/views/login/login.aspx in the address bar to get to the Paylocity login page. Enter the username and password you created for this site and click on Login. The Time Entry screen will be displayed, and you can choose the Clock In, Start Break, End Break, and Clock Out buttons depending on the action you need to take.
Troubleshooting
- If you have connectivity problems, check that you have a stable internet connection before attempting any of these steps. Open a web browser and ensure that you are able to reach common sites like, Google or MSN.
- If you have a personal firewall at home, ensure that it is either turned off, or configure it to allow traffic to and from the WFG network.
- If you have problems accepting the Duo push, disconnect your phone from Wi-Fi, as that can cause issues with receiving the push successfully.
- Connect all monitors before attempting a connection to Remote Desktop.
