Prioritize Your Day’s Activities with the Dayboard Chrome Extension

Organization is the key to sanity, at least for me. It seems like there are never less than a thousand things I need to do on any given day. It can get overwhelming, to say the least. Especially in the real estate business. I welcome any opportunity to simplify things. Years ago, I started keeping a daily log of things I needed to do. I’d write the date at the top of my little black composition book, then make a list of all of the tasks I needed to complete for the day. As the day progressed, I would cross out those I’d accomplished. At the end of the day, I could easily see what I’d done. Anything leftover was added to the top of the next day’s list. It sounds so simple, but that process has made a world of difference. My stress level is noticeably diminished on the days when I follow this procedure. And even though the day, itself, might feel chaotic, I can actually relax at the end, simply by looking down at the list of crossed-out activities, knowing that I had, in fact, actually made some progress, and that nothing fell through the cracks.

Recently, I stumbled across a really cool extension for my Chrome browser that, essentially, replaces that black composition notebook. It’s free and it’s simple. I can create to-do lists, then sync them across all of my devices, so that wherever I happen to be working, I can make updates. It’s just a small thing, really, but anything that increases organization will simultaneously reduce stress, which almost always leads to increased happiness and productivity. If happiness and productivity are on your wish list, check out the Dayboard browser extension. And if you’re not using Chrome as your go-to browser, this is a great opportunity to start. It’s the best.
