WFG National Title Adds to Compliance Team Again

Everett to be SVP, Compliance and Licensing 

Portland, OR  May 15, 2013     WFG National Title Insurance Company (“WFG National Title”) has named Deborah Everett as Senior Vice President, Compliance and Licensing. WFG National Title is a full service provider of title insurance and real estate settlement services for lender, commercial and residential transactions nationwide.

Everett will be charged with ensuring that WFG National Title maintains full compliance with state mandated licensing and registration necessary to conduct title, settlement and appraisal management business at the state level.  She will also develop comprehensive audit programs to address the new and evolving regulatory requirements at both the federal and state levels. Everett will manage a comprehensive licensing database for all lines of business in the company as well.

Everett comes to WFG National Title with twenty-six years experience in the real estate and lending industries.   She has served as Director of Title Underwriting, Risk and Compliance with Premium Title Insurance Company.  She was also Senior Vice President and Counsel for one of the nation’s largest underwriters; Chief Compliance Officer with another of the nation’s largest underwriters, and Vice President and General Counsel for a regional bank in Texas.  Prior to working in the title insurance industry, Everett was an attorney in private practice focusing on real estate, probate and contracts.

She is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and the Eastern and Northern Federal District Courts of Texas.  Everett is a certified mediator and holds title agent licenses in thirty states.  She has also served on various committees for the Texas Land Title Association.

WFG National Title Expands Compliance Resources

 Fenske to be SVP, Compliance and National Training Officer

 

Portland, OR  April 22, 2013    WFG National Title Insurance Company (“WFG National Title”) has added Lee Ann Fenske to serve as Senior Vice President, Compliance and National Training Officer. WFG National Title is a full service provider of title insurance and real estate settlement services for lender, commercial and residential transactions nationwide.

 

With WFG National Title, Fenske will be responsible for compliance audits as well as employee and WFG agent training. She will be involved with internal and agent communications regarding compliance, including the management of an online repository for all WFG National Title policies, procedures and training materials.

 

Fenske has 30 years of experience in the title insurance industry. Prior to joining WFG National Title, she was Group Vice-President for one of the industry’s largest title underwriters, where she managed the owned operations in Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Utah, Alaska and Eastern Oregon and Eastern Washington.  She had also served as District Manager for the same underwriter.  In that role, she managed the owned operations and also the agency network in Montana, Wyoming and Idaho.  During Fenske’s 24 years with that company, she was involved in both the title and escrow side of the operation; assisted with underwriting and claims and took part in training associates and agents in her territories.

 

Fenske was also appointed by the Montana State Auditor to serve as the only title ambassador on the Montana Insurance Continuing Education Advisory Council for 12 years for the Montana Department of Insurance.  She also has served on the Legislative and Continuing Education Committees for the Montana Land Title Association.

WFG Appoints O’Neill as Chief Compliance Officer

Williston Financial Group (“WFG”), the parent company of WFG Lender Services and WFG National Title Insurance Company, has named Donald O’Neill as its Chief Compliance Officer. O’Neill will continue to serve as Executive Vice President of Institutional Services.  The Williston Financial Group family is a full service provider of title insurance and real estate settlement services for lender, commercial and residential transactions, nationwide.

 

As WFG’s Chief Compliance Officer, O’Neill will oversee WFG’s compliance programs.  He is charged with expanding WFG’s current compliance programs to meet the stricter demands of today’s compliance environment. Included in his duties will be implementation of improved employee and title agent training, licensing, audit and programs designed to update and track adherence to the Company’s policies and procedures.   The position will include an emphasis on actively collaborating and communicating with customers, lenders and agents faced with new compliance requirements of the Dodd Frank Act and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).

 

O’Neill came to WFG in June, 2012 with 30 years of experience in mortgage and real estate services most recently as Chief Operating Officer and Associate General Counsel for Altisource’s Premium Title.   Prior to that O’Neill held senior management positions with national settlement services companies and for over ten years he  served as Group President and CEO for the Real Estate Information Group at one of the industry’s largest title insurance underwriters.  O’Neill is licensed to practice law in Washington State and Utah and is a member of the United State Supreme Court Bar – Washington D.C.  He received his Juris Doctorate and MBA from Gonzaga University.

Diamond Will Head Agency IT Services

WFG National Title Insurance Company (“WFG National Title”) has added Rick Diamond to serve as its Vice President of Information Technology, Agency Operations.  WFG National Title is a full service provider of title insurance and real estate settlement services for commercial and residential transactions nationwide.

Diamond will oversee all IT initiatives in the company’s agency operations nationwide, and he will be based in the Massachusetts office.   As part of his position, Diamond will maintain dialogue with agents throughout the country about technology, I.T. trends and ways to use technology to assist in title processing.  Diamond will also assist with agency sales as well.  He comes to WFG National Title with 24 years of experience in the industry, all of them with one of the nation’s largest underwriters.  Most recently, he was VP, Division IT Director for 22 years.  Before that, he served as VP and State Manager.  He has been a former board member and remains actively involved with the Room to Dream Foundation, a children’s charity which donates renovation and home improvement services to chronically ill children in the greater Boston area.

WFG National Title Appoints New York State Counsel

WFG National Title Insurance Company (“WFG National Title”) has named Michael Kelly, Esq. as its new Vice President, State Counsel for its New York agency office. The company is a full service provider of title insurance and real estate settlement services for lender, commercial and residential transactions nationwide.

Kelly will help grow the insurer’s New York agent base as well as providing underwriting support for the agency operation in that state. He comes to WFG National Title with over 35 years of industry experience, most recently serving as Senior Agency Counsel, New York for one of the nation’s largest underwriters. Before that, he held similar positions with two more of the industry’s largest title insurers. He began his career in 1972 as a continuation clerk, attending law school during the evening at St. John’s University, NY (J.D. in 1978) while searching titles during the day. Kelly was admitted to the Bar in the State of New York in 1978. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association Real Property Law Committee and also serves on the Select Committee for the Unauthorized Practice of Law. Kelly received his bachelor’s degree from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York. He was also a member of the U.S. Army Military Police during the Vietnam War (1969 – 1970).

WFG Default Services Group Adds Operations Manager

WFG National Title Insurance Co.’s Default Services group added Ashley Anderson as its associate vice president and operation manager. 

In her new position, Anderson will be responsible for the daily oversight of the growth, development and maintenance of the group’s production and processing functions. She comes to WFG National Title with 12 years of industry experience, most recently with the California arm of a large national title underwriter as its associate vice president and operations manager, where she worked for eight years. 

“Ashley understands that efficiency in default services production begins with our adaptation to each client’s process,” said Morgan Harris, executive vice president overseeing the Default Services group. “She is resourceful, driven, innovative and, above all, client focused. Our clients will appreciate her ability to quickly and effectively meet their needs.”

WFG adds representative for New York, New Jersey area

WFG National Title Insurance Co. has added Manny Losquadro to grow and support its customer base in New York and New Jersey.

Losquadro joins WFG National Title with 15 years of experience in the settlement services industry. He most recently held a role in agency sales with one of the nation’s largest title insurance companies, spending almost 10 years between two divisions in that position.
From 1996 to 2002, he served as agency auditor for the same national insurer. With WFG National Title, Losquadro will serve as an agency representative. He will work to build new agency relationships in New York and New Jersey, as well as serving as a resource for existing customers.

“Manny brings a thorough understanding of the title industry, and what it takes for an independent agency to thrive,” said Joseph Drum, executive vice president for WFG National Title. “He also has a number of good relationships in the region and will be another strong partner to WFG National Title’s east coast agencies.”

Losquadro is a graduate of SUNY College at Old Westbury, where he received a bachelor’s degree in finance.

Brandy Sams joined WFG National Title Insurance Co. as the director of its default services division.

Sams has spent 15 years in the mortgage and real estate industry, working most recently in the secondary market with Fannie Mae. Before that, she was a title and escrow specialist for a national servicer. Previously, she was the title and escrow manager with a California-based title company. During her tenure with those firms, she successfully managed over 10,000 closings in 35 states. Sams holds an advanced degree in business and project management.

As part of the WFG National Title Default Services team, Owens is charged with growing the company’s market for all default-related services and products, including owners and encumbrances reports, trustee sale guarantee and trustee work, and default title and escrow services.

He joins WFG National Title with 21 years in the mortgage and default servicing industry, most recently having served seven years as national sales executive for US Real Estate Services (USRES). Owens also has experience on the origination side of the business.

“Barry understands that customer relationships begin with a willingness to work within the client’s process,” said Morgan Harris, the company’s EVP overseeing the default services division. “He is comfortable adapting our products and services to fit the needs of our clients, and will be a superior resource for us and our clientele in this rapidly changing market.”

WFG National Title has also added Wendy Lunt to its ranks as VP of sales and marketing for its newly acquired Puget Sound division. Her role is to grow the company’s footprint in the Puget Sound region, which includes the Seattle and Tacoma, Washington markets.
